Requirements and application
To be eligible, the recipients of the bursary, here called visiting and receiving candidates, should be young researchers as defined by the yrCSS rules (see here), and members of the Complex Systems Society;
An invitation letter for the visiting candidate by the host group’s PI is required;
The application consists in a two-page document (max 1000 words including figure caption, plus a mandatory figure) produced by the candidates where they describe their research project outline and their two CVs.
The candidates will be required to produce a short report of their research performed during the visit;
The applications will be reviewed by senior researchers, members of the CSS Council. Results will be announced on the yrCSS website and media outlets;
The bridge grants provide partial support for short visits. We fund 500 euros for within-continent visits and 1000 euros for visits between different continents.
The funds awarded will have to be used during 2018 solar year.
yrCSS guarantees short response time after the application deadline.

Applications must include: CV of visiting and receiving candidates; Research project outline (max 1000 words including figure caption, plus a mandatory figure; Invitation letter for the visiting candidate from the host group’s PI.
In a first level, the applications are going to be rated by a number of Referees, who are members of the CSS Council. The important points to be considered are:
How interdisciplinary is the project? (0-5)
How novel is the addressed topic/problem? (0-5)
How innovative/creative is the approach taken by the candidates? (0-5)
Is the project feasible given the candidates’ skills and expertise? (0-5)
The final selection is going to be made by the yrCSS Advisory Board.
